Specific Need

The Republic County Economic Development Fund was established to endow Economic Development to eventually decrease reliance on municipality budgets.  This fund will also support initiatives that foster economic growth, business expansion, and workforce development throughout Republic County. This money is dedicated to strengthening the local economy by investing in projects that enhance business opportunities, create jobs, and improve infrastructure to sustain long-term prosperity.

Our goal is to provide financial resources to initiatives that align with community-driven economic priorities, such as business retention and expansion, entrepreneurship, workforce training, and quality-of-life improvements that make Republic County a thriving place to live and work.

Through strategic investments, we aim to empower local businesses, attract new opportunities, and ensure a vibrant economic future for Republic County and its residents.

Mission

Republic County Economic Development Corporation assists the county in preparing for new businesses as well as retaining existing businesses. In addition, the corporation also assists the county with community development & tourism.

Profile

Republic County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) was formed in 1999 to help improve the economic diversity of Republic County. RCEDC was created by an interlocal agreement between the Republic County Commission and the City of Belleville.

RCEDC offers numerous services and resources including business recruitment and retention work, financial resources, site location selection assistance, marketing assistance, state resources and incentives, employment assistance as well as employee training resources.
