5TH GRADE INITIATIVE
Our youth are the future of Republic County and investing in them today builds a stronger tomorrow. The Republic County Community Foundation Board is committed to intentionally engaging and empowering the next generation of community leaders.
With that vision, the Board identified 5th grade students at Republic County East Elementary and Pike Valley Elementary as a key audience. Introducing them to the power of philanthropy at an early age. In the classroom, ahead of Match Day, RCCF leads interactive lessons that teach students how to use their time, talents, and treasures to support causes they care about.
On Match Day, those lessons come to life. Students attend the event, connect directly with local nonprofits, and thoughtfully direct a gifted $10 to the organization of their choice. This experience is both meaningful and memorable. It instilling confidence, generosity, and a sense of ownership in our youth, while also creating genuine connections between students and the nonprofits they support.
